I would love to make the sweater in the cotton cakes yarn, but alas a little too expensive for my budget. What is your feeling on all acrylic, or 100% cotton. I am afraid that all cotton is too heavy!
ReplyDeleteI am assuming you are referring to the Comfy Casual Crocheted Cotton Cardigan? I think acrylic would work great, just make sure you use a weight 3 yarn. I tried a small sample in Red Heart Super Saver and Lion Brand Ferris Wheel, both of which are worsted weight (4). Super Saver was definitely too thick and worked up very stiff. Ferris Wheel had potential, but was a little larger than the gauge for this sweater even with the same sized hook. I would love to see the finished sweater when you make it!
